Prior to joining the IFRC, Gwen served as the Secretary General of the Philippine Red Cross from 2009 to 2016. She was also the IFRC Interim Head of Country Office in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from October 2017 to March 2018.

Christian StewartHe facilitates family meetings and helps families to form and implement family councils, family constitutions and family policies, often in the context of transition planning. His philosophy is that such structures work best when based on understanding the unique culture and relationships within the family. He also acts as the Chief Learning Officer for two different families.
Christian originally qualified and practiced as a solicitor in South Australia from 1990 to 1994. He moved to Hong Kong in late 1994 joining PricewaterhouseCoopers and became a partner and head of their Trust & Private Client Group. In July 2002 he joined JPMorgan Private Bank to head the bank’s Wealth Advisory team for Asia.
He left JPMorgan and founded Family Legacy Asia in July 2008 to provide Asian families with independent advice on family governance & succession.
In June 2017, Christian received the award for Leading Individual (Advisor) at the WealthBriefingAsia 2017 Awards, Singapore.

Toshio GotoHe holds a Bachelor (Economics) degree from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Harvard University. His background is in business strategies and his research focuses on strategies for sustainable growth, specializing in family businesses. In April 2011, he was invited to Japan University of Economics Shibuya Campus Tokyo, and assigned as the first Dean of the Faculty of Management. His business background includes marketing, sales, corporate entrepreneurship and strategic management both in Japan and the United States.
With rich and balanced expertise, he pioneered family business research in Japan and actively participated IFERA (International family Enterprise Research Academy), with special focus on the family business longevity and succession. He has been invited to deliver keynote speeches in Singapore, Amsterdam and other major cities worldwide. In China, His major contributions include keynote presentations at major conferences hosted by Zhejiang University and Nankai University respectively.
One of Professor Goto’s latest books is titled as “Secrets for the longevity of family businesses: fostering longevity over three generations''. Nihon Keizai Shinbun (日本経済新聞), the leading economic newspaper, carried his big article on the current status of family business and its challenges, in 2009. His articles are often featured on Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun (日刊工業新聞). He’s also appeared in major television and newspapers in Korea (KBS) & Colombia (El Tiempo).
Professor Goto currently serves as a visiting researcher at China Academy of Corporate Governance, Nankai University (南開大学), and advisory board member of Private Enterprise Governance and Development Research Center (PEGDC) of Business School, Renmin University of China (中国人民大学).
